Human Rights Defender Jan Cappelle has been subjected to multiple human rights violations:

• criminalization and victimization
arbitrary arrest
abusive detention
forced expulsion
no access to justice
• the local administration and Judiciary in Mbengwi Sub-Division wilfully produce false reports and statements
• destruction of resources (investments, farms, community development projects)
